Veterinary Surgeon - Orpington, Kent

Full-time small animal veterinary surgeon - Orpington. Expanding 3 1/2 vet independent SA first opinion practice.

The practice:
Independent (and always will be) small animal practice, single site. Established 17 years, interesting and varied case load. Is a VN training practice, so standards are high. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. We use a dedicated out of hours service and work-life balance is important.

South-East Greater London, very close to M20, so good links to airports, Eurotunnel and Dover. Local train station St Mary Cray, with a one stop service to London Victoria.

The role:
We are after a competent, cheerful, enthusiastic small animal vet with preferably at least two years experience. There will be a limited amount of sole charge, but back up will be available if needed. Confidence with basic surgery and consultations. Any interest in studying for a certificate or speciality would be encouraged.

The package:
An average 40 hour week, with one Saturday morning in two, with the alternate weekends starting at 1.00 pm on Friday. CPD encouraged with generous allowance. Varied case load, both surgical and medical.

No on call as we have a dedicated out of hours provider. Main shifts are 9.00-5.00 and 11.00-7.00, with occasional 10.00-6.00. Saturdays 9.00-1.00. Car and accommodation can be provided if needed. Salary in line with experience.
