Job Details

Goudhurst Vets is a thriving 2.5 vet practice in a picturesque village in the South East.

We are extremely proud to have recently achieved the Outstanding Client Service award by the RCVS. We are an 80% small animal/20% equine practice.

Goudhurst are looking for a vet to work around two days per week with proven experience in small animal - equine experience would be ideal but is not essential.

We have the usual toys including flexible endoscopy, digital x-ray and ultrasound.  We have a clientele that both expect and allow cases to be worked up to a high standard.  As a practice we have regular visits from an orthopaedic specialist and an ophthalmologist.

We have certificate holders in small animal surgery and equine practice as well as an in-house acupuncturist and physiotherapist.

There is no OOH and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings.  We are a close knit team who support each other with cases and do our best to make work as enjoyable as possible.  We are proud to offer flexible working wherever possible and either work an 8.15am -4.30pm shift or a 10am – 7pm shift. RCVS accredited General Practice with TP status.

We offer:

  • Great rates of pay and bonus scheme
  • RCVS & VDS fees paid
  • CPD encouraged and funded

Veterinary Acupuncture

Clinics are run by Vicky Payne MRCVS, who has done the post-graduate qualification in veterinary acupuncture. Acupuncture is tolerated extremely well by animals and can have enormous benefit in many cases. Cases that respond very well include arthritis and lameness. It can help reduce doses of drugs used or can help where drugs appear not to be helping anymore.

Herbal Medicine

Clinics are run by Vicky Payne MRCVS, who has done a post-graduate qualification in Veterinary herbal Medicine. Many modern drugs are based on herbs and scientific studies support there use. Herbs can be useful for long term illnesses, improving the effectiveness of drugs or by counteracting drug side effects.
