ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists is looking to recruit an additional specialist specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine to work alongside our established team of three Internal Medicine Diploma holders to assist with our expanding case load. There is further support from five surgeons, two anaesthetists, diagnostic imager, radiographers, rotating interns and excellent nursing team. The clinic has recently been completely refurbished (£2 million) and facilities now include new Siemens 1.5T Magnetom Essenza MRI and 16-slice Siemens Somatom CTvand a GE Logiq S8 ultrasound  scanners, and dedicated endoscopy and radioiodine treatment suites.

ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists is a multidisciplinary referral centre in the Northwest of England with a wide range of referral services including Internal Medicine, Soft Tissue Surgery, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Anaesthesia and Dermatology. It is located in Chester – an historic and attractive city with excellent schools. The city is well connected to Liverpool, Manchester and London by road and rail and there are two international airports within 35 minutes drive. Beautiful countryside in North Wales is a short distance away.

The position is available immediately. This would suit someone looking for a full time position (4.5 days a week), but exact hours and working pattern can be agreed with some flexibility. For candidates who would consider a re-location, we can look to cover relocation costs.

Applicants should be an accredited specialist in small animal internal medicine (“exam-ready” candidates will also be considered).  Employment requires membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.
