Veterinary Surgeon - Abingdon

Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon. To work a 4 day week and additional 1 in 5 Saturday mornings no out of hours at a friendly family run practice in Oxfordshire. Our loyal client base is growing fast so we have 2 positions available. We pride ourselves on excellent patient care and building good relationships with our clients.

The Practice
We are a friendly family run practice with a happy team; a good work life balance is our priority.

A modern, forward thinking practice with up to date equipment including high quality ultrasound, digital x-ray, bronchoscope as well as a full range of in-house laboratory equipment. We do a range of orthopaedic surgeries in house and have close ties with local referral centres. Our team of excellent experienced nurses are on hand to help and support you in your role offering a wide range of skills and knowledge. The practice offers its own parking and a large garden to enjoy.

Abingdon-on-Thames, a historic, modern market town set in rural Oxfordshire. We are a modern practice with our own parking and a large garden.

The Role
Would you like to work a four day week, with the same day off each week and no out of hours?

2 additional vets are required to join our team to keep up with the demands from our ever growing loyal client base.

We aim to provide the best possible experience with continuity of care to our patients and clients by seeing the same vet each time.

With a generous CPD allowance, including funding towards specialised certificates, which are encouraged.

You would be required to see a wide variety of small animal patient consultations and surgeries with the support of the rest of the team to share experience and knowledge. There are Saturday morning consultations on a 1:5 rota basis.

Successful Candidate
We are looking for a team player, someone compassionate and enthusiastic. Keen to provide the best standard of care possible for our patients with a passion to develop and progress themselves to offer more from our practice. An interest in surgery would be a bonus but not essential, certificates are encouraged
