Job Details
Friendly, 100% small animal practice in Fife seeks full or part-time/job-share vets to join our team of 5 vets and 3 RVNs. In-house lab, digital radiography and advanced ultrasound. 4.5 day week. Usual package- salary commensurate with experience.
The Practice
We are a friendly, independent, 100% small animal practice in Fife. We are long established and well known in the community. 3 of our 4 current vets have worked here for a total of 75 years! We have 3 qualified RVNs and 4 additional reception/support staff. As a registered training practice, we also often have student nurses on placement with us too. We run a very successful Practice Plan and this, along with our nurse run clinics, allows us to emphasize the importance of pre-emptive care to our clients.
Beautiful area in central Fife. The best of both worlds- close to Edinburgh and Dundee and only an hour from Glasgow but surrounded by lovely countryside, golf courses and many beaches.
The Role
Complete clinical freedom and freedom to follow your own cases with the back-up of a medicine certificate holder if required. No targets to meet, we focus exclusively on patient care. Exotics work available if interested. We have the usual toys- in house Idexx analysers- biochemisty (incl t4), haematology, electrolyes and blood gases. Digital x-rays. Doppler ultrasonography. Option to study towards a certificate if desired.
Successful Candidate
Must fit in with the team and be able to communicate well with clients. Experience preferred but not essential - may suit a confident recent graduate. An interest in ultrasonography would be advantageous. May suit a job-share situation.
The Package
Salary commensurate with experience, car and housing allowance, CPD encouraged and funded, VDS cover, RCVS fees paid.

Kingdom Veterinary Clinic is a long established practice with our main clinic based in Glenrothes town centre.
We also have a branch clinic in Lochgelly, providing care for the animals of the surrounding community.
In addition to cats, dogs and rabbits we also look after many other small mammals including ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, mice, gerbils and chinchillas. We also provide a range of treatments for birds and exotic pets such as reptiles and amphibians.
Kingdom Veterinary Clinic is voluntarily regularly inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to ensure the highest standards of care.
Whilst we are the largest practice in Glenrothes, we pride ourselves on providing a professional yet friendly environment and care for our clients as much as their pets!
Our Glenrothes clinic is open evenings and weekends for those who work long hours. We are easily accessible in the town centre and have our own large car park. As of September 2016, we continue to provide our own 24 hour emergency service staffed by our own staff from our own purpose built building. This means that we will have full access to your pets’ medical history and your pet will be in familiar surroundings with a familiar face!
