Veterinary Surgeon - Oldham

We are seeking an experienced F/T confident colleague (talented new graduate considered) to join our SA practice in Oldham. An ideal work/life balance of Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with no OOH and 1:3 weekend rota. 20 minute consultations, shared surgery, strong RVN and specialist external visiting team support. The Practice:

RCVS accredited independent practice, lovely clients and gold standard care.

• 20 minute consultations
• 1 in 3 weekends (Saturday 9:30-1:00pm, Sunday 11:30 - 1:00pm)
• No OOH
• Full Idexx in house laboratory equipment (including SNAPs, Coagulation and Blood Gases)
• Full anaesthetic monitoring equipment, Sevoflurane, Humphrey ADEs
• Flexible, capsule and rigid endoscopy
• Digital X-Ray, Ultrasound
• Support from visiting Diploma holders in imaging, soft tissue and cardiology (and orthopaedic certificate holder)
• Supported by excellent team of RVNs and SVNs.

Very interesting and varied caseload. Lots of opportunities for case continuity, to work up and keep cases in house. Really friendly team with time to learn alongside experienced colleagues.

The Role:
We are looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon who would like the clinical freedom to work up own cases and follow them through to the end. The position would suit someone who is looking for a large and varied caseload.

Successful Candidate:
Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills with a strong desire to follow up cases and bond with clients and their pets to deliver a first-class service that has been “the County’s End way” for more than 10 years under the present ownership. RCVS registration and eligibility to work in the UK with fluent spoken and written English a must.
