Veterinary Nurse - Bridgnorth Hospital

We are seeking a permanent Full Time enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly nursing team. We are an independent, vet-owned practice that focuses on providing excellent pet, client and staff care.

This role would provide a fantastic opportunity to further develop and utilise your current nursing skills. We strive to bring the latest equipment and techniques into our practice and share, teach and learn as we go.

You will also be assisting veterinary surgeons in the timely treatment of animal patients and to provide out of hours veterinary nursing to ensure consistency of care overnight.

Location of Job
Bridgnorth Hospital.

Hours of Work
2 days 8am – 8pm, 2 nights 8pm – 8am (both 11 hrs with 1 hour break), 4 days off.

Reporting to:
Head Nurse/Branch Manager.

Main Duties

• Provide a high standard of nursing care to animal patients.
• Assist veterinary surgeons.
• Actively promote the products and services of the practice.
• Provide a friendly, efficient and effective service to clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing duties.
• Answer ;emergency telephone calls (Small Animal/Farm and Equine) and log on PMS system.
• Record in-patient care appropriately.
• Take payments from clients.
• Ensure all cases are handed over fully.
• General cleaning and maintenance duties to adhere to RCVS standards.
• Attend practice meetings if required.

Skills & Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse.
• Commitment to excellent patient and client care.
• MS Office.
