Veterinary Surgeon - Newcastle

Will work with 3 other veterinary Surgeons with small animals. Out of hours work is referred at night and most of the weekend although we do operate a clinic on Saturday and one hour on a Sunday morning. This requires us to work 1 weekend in 4 allowing 3 full weekends off. Most of our surgical work is performed at the main surgery in Newcastle. The branch surgery in Tynemouth refers most surgical cases to Newcastle although simple procedures are done on site. We have a full range of diagnostic equipment in house. At present most orthopaedic work is referred but we would welcome anyone with an interest in this subject.

The Practice
Newcastle is a great place to be unless you are a football supporter. From the night life to the museums , you can spend years discovering the city. Tynemouth is a quaint Northumbrian village/town where you can surf or just eat out in the main square. We share attendance at this branch surgery.

The Role
The post would suit both those beginning their veterinary career and those with bags of experience.

Successful Candidate
Our ideal candidate would have to fit in well with a great small team of people all working as a vocation. Corporate veterinary practice looms but not yet we hope.

The Package
Salary is commensurate with experience. CPD is financed and encouraged.
