Job Details

At CVS Group we are the largest integrated veterinary service provider in the UK with 6000 employees in sites across the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands. We are passionate about improving every stage of the animal life cycle and operate several key business areas; over 480 vet surgeries, 4 laboratories, 7 pet crematoria and a successful online business. We are a highly acquisitive business and expect to continue our strong year on year growth over the coming years.

We currently have an excellent opportunity for you to be our Director of Practice Integration for Companion Animal and Mixed Practices. In this newly created and key role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful integration of all of our newly acquired practices. In the role, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working alongside the acquisitions directors/business analysts and regional operations teams to ensure a robust plan is in place for all new businesses prior to acquisition completion.
  • Preparing concise summaries of all potential issues and opportunities relating to new businesses and fully briefing the operations team in advance of completion.
  • Developing, monitoring and leading a process that ensures robust financial integration of new businesses, working closely with the acquisitions integration management accountant.
  • Working closely with the acquisitions directors to ensure a complete understanding of all new businesses during the due diligence process.
  • Ensuring an effective change management process is implemented before, during and after acquisition – making sure that all our colleagues in newly acquired practices receive the right support and information to make their integration a success.

To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge/skills/qualifications and attributes:

  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of project management, service delivery, financial and people management.
  • A proven track record of success in planning and delivering cross functional, cross-organisational change.
  • Experience of building effective working relationships and professional credibility with clinical leads.
  • The ability to translate complex ideas into simple concepts and then articulate these clearly to all stakeholders.

In return you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including; a company car, heavily discounted pet care, an employee assistance programme, five weeks holiday (+ Bank Holidays) and the opportunity to join the industry leading CVS share scheme. As well as having access to flexible benefits, such as childcare vouchers & discounted gym membership and the opportunity to undertake further professional training in the future.

Location: In the role you can either be home based or based from the CVS Support Office in Diss, Norfolk. The role will require regular travel to meetings at CVS Support Office in Diss, Norfolk and to newly acquired practice sites across the UK.
