Small Animal Vet - Scottish Borders

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team. A recent graduate with at least 1 year of experience is desired, capable of routine surgeries, and an interest in dentistry would be a benefit.

The Scottish Borders is a beautiful area to live and work in. It is the premier venue for mountain biking in the UK, plus many arts, music and historical festivals, and is within one hour of Edinburgh by road or rail.

Key Information

Our client a progressive, forward-looking small animal practice. The practice has steadily grown in size and expertise, and now has six full and part-time vets, three qualified nurses, four SVN and 4 SQP. 

The main premises is supported by two other branches. The practice has benefited from continuous investment in new
equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometry, capnography as standard for monitoring GA, blood pressure monitoring.

The successful candidate will work full time over 4 days, and share the 1 in 4 night and weekend rota. We offer a competitive salary, 6 weeks holiday, Healthshield medical cover and pension plan, and CPD is encouraged and paid for.
