Job Details

Senior Vet position to work for an established independent 24 hour Vet hospital across Warwickshire. This is an opportunity to work alongside likeminded Vets and have access to certificate holders and specialist Vets to help develop your skills and interests.

Key Benefits

Reporting to the Clinical Director you will provide ongoing support in the running of your assigned practice.

You will assist in the efficient running of the practice and ensuring all communication and clinical protocols are delivered and maintained.

Must be working a minimum of 3 days per week in practice

Leadership

  • Consistently adheres to the practice core values whilst confidently able to support team members in delivering these values within your assigned practice
  • Conducts staff meetings providing the teams with clear direction
  • Demonstrates a positive approach to change whilst cascading key company information to staff teams

Clinical

  • Maintain governance of clinical protocols delivered by both vets and nurses within your practice
  • Assist in implementation/maintaining clinical protocols, helping to ensure all relevant staff have been trained appropriately
  • Ensure all clinical cases are managed appropriately in the absence of the Clinical Director

General

  • Authorise direct claims, refunds & credits, discretionary discounts and deferred payments within the agreed parameters of your Clinical Director
  • Support in assigning the daily workload to ensure efficient completion of the daily tasks
  • Support the reception & clinical teams in responding to customer complaints, ensuring they are promptly dealt with, passing them swiftly on to your Clinical Director for resolution where appropriate

  • Additional management CPD days in addition to the standard clinical CPD allowance
  • 2 additional days of annual leave (Annual leave days awarded based on working full time hours and will be pro-rata for part-time)
  • Annual salary £40-£50,000 depending on qualifications and experience (Salary supplement awarded based on working full time hours and will be pro-rata for part-time)

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ postgraduate clinical experience
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Effective communicator
  • Demonstrates sound judgement with making decisions (clinical/staff/ customer)
  • Attention to detail
  • Organised and methodical approach to work
