POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
The EU NSP Sales Manager works out of the European business office located at: Chemin du Stocouy, 1300 Wavre, Belgium, and is responsible for the overall financial performance of the EU NSP business unit. This role will collaborate with the region VP, marketing manager, and area sales teams to drive profitability. Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Keen business sense around the sales of nutritional feed additive products to end users and through distributor feed organizations in Europe
- Understand marketing concepts used by EU feed companies/distributors to grow their portfolio of nutritional feed products
- Collaborate with the Dairy Technology Manager, and Technology Deployment Team in developing research and product trials in the EU countries
- Lead in preparation of annual sales budgets for multiple products by country or sales territory
- Be accountable for overall P&L, achieving/exceeding revenue and gross margin targets, prepare monthly reports showing business performance
- In collaboration with the region VP, be responsible for overall HR management in the EU NSP business
- Work with region VP, marketing manager, and product managers to bring new products to the EU NSP portfolio. Responsible for pricing, P&L, and overall marketing support for current and new products in the NSP portfolio
Key Competencies Required
- Minimum 5 years sales/business management experience, with demonstrated success in achieving growth targets
- Aware of current industry trends in husbandry and nutritional needs of multiple species and how they relate to feed additive products
- Possess a positive attitude, interpersonal drive, and good negotiating skills
- Work with marketing manager to build product and brand awareness programs with key customers by developing strategic growth programs in sales territories
- Proficient at leading/developing direct reports to maximize their potential
- Experience working with a global, international organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Degree in agriculture/business management, master’s degree preferred
