Veterinary Surgeon - Thamesmead, London

We are seeking a vet with a passion for small animal medicine and who would like a surgery on which to make their mark! 

The role is a 4-day week: 9am-7pm (every Wednesday off) with alternate Saturdays 9am- 4pm. There is no night work or on call. To provide a mix between branch and hospital work we would like you to join the Sunday rota (only 1:8) at our RCVS accredited tier 3 hospital in Wanstead. 

The role is sole charge but is fully supported by the Wanstead Hospital and critical cases may be referred there. The team at the branch consists of Nicola our long-term part time vet who works Wednesdays and also alternative Saturdays, our senior nurse Amy a qualified RVN who trained with us and who has over 10 years’ experience, Camilla our SVN and Jessie our VCA.

Our large Thamesmead branch is well equipped with walk-in dog kennels, a comprehensive in-house lab suite and digital x-ray. There are two consulting rooms, the second occupied by Amy running her nurse consultations and weight checks. There is ample all day free parking available.

Our ideal candidate is a confident and accomplished veterinary surgeon with great people skills, with at least two years’ experience and will have a great track record of fostering strong relationships with their clients. In return we can offer a salary of £50,000 plus a generous CPD package. The Goddard Veterinary Group offers a minimum of £2000 CPD allowance and sees CPD as an investment in the individual as well as for the practice and is keen to support study for certificate qualifications.
