v4p bournemouthWe are looking for an enthusiastic, professional Veterinary Surgeon to join our established team at Bournemouth Vets4Pets!

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced colleague to join a large and rapidly growing 24/7 business with plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and/or to develop a specialist interest within general practice. Vet flexible rota can be worked around outside work interests.
 
Tom Mowlem, Partner and Veterinary Surgeon, qualified from Bristol in 1995 and has now worked with the company for over 20 years and became a Partner in 2002. Debbie Clarke, Partner and Veterinary Surgeon, qualified from Bristol in 2000 and then became a Partner in 2009. Both Tom and Debbie are supported by a large and established team of 34 colleagues.

Our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards with a wide range of equipment including modern ultrasound, digital x ray (including dental), extensive orthopaedic equipment, full IDEXX top of the range in house lab, multiple infusion pumps, multi parameter vital stats monitoring, air conditioned consult rooms, large 2 storey standalone practice with multiple operating areas. We currently see 600 – 700 1st opinion consults per week (including small but significant number of exotics, especially reptiles) spread over a 24 hour day including 30 – 40 surgical cases per week.
 
The practice is located in central Bournemouth, which is home to the UK’s best beach with 7 miles of golden sand, ideally located for water sports, outdoor activities and with easy access to the New Forest, Purbecks and beyond. Bournemouth has a vibrant nightlife with well established a university and student scene as well as many great restaurants, pubs and entertainment venues.

By joining us you will be part of a team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care. The ideal candidates to join our team will have good general surgical and medical skills and experience in emergency surgery. You must be will be adaptable and flexible and enjoy the variety provided by the clients and colleagues.
 
This rewarding position is full or part time for the right candidate and will include some weekends on a rota basis. There is no sole charge or OOH requirement with this role due to the surgery being 24/7 and having a full onsite OOH team.
