Veterinary Surgeon - Berks/Bucks

Experienced small animal vet to join a team of 10 including certificate holders and AVP’s. A full-time position with a four-day week, easy OOH rota, and no phone duties. (MiNightVets cover OOH).  

The practice:
We have first class facilities in a purpose designed barn conversion on a rural site just 40 minutes from central London and close to major motorway network. We are supported by eight qualified and two student nurses and an exceptional reception/admin team.

Our main site has full operating, hospitalisation and diagnostic facilities including DR radiography, Doppler ultrasonography,endoscopy, arthroscopy etc etc. We also have three branch surgeries, two equipped for day hospitalisation and minor procedures. We have two sites with dental suites including radiography and two sites with full Idexx blood anaylsis facilities.

The role:
We have outstanding clients who look for a vet with good communication skills and the desire to go the extra mile for their pets. Our aim is to maintain excellent relationships with these clients by providing continuity of high standard veterinary care.

We work as a team with all our vets working part of their time at our main site. Each vet also spends some time at one of the branches.  

Successful candidate:
The successful candidate will be an experienced vet aiming to improve their abilities with good CPD support. They will be an excellent communicator with both peers and clients and show a genuine interest and empathy with their clients.  Work here is also a lot of fun so a great sense of humour and social attitude is always appreciated.

The package:
Competitive salary with a good work-life balance. Salary will be commensurate with experience. RCVS, BVA & one other subscription supported. Five weeks annual holiday, one week CPD with £1,250 annual allowance.

A four-day working week with out-of-hours phone duties covered by MiNightVets. 

Location:
We are based in the Thames Valley, in a rural location between Marlow and Maidenhead on the Buckinghamshire/Berkshire border.
