Veterinary Clinical Services
Easter Bush Campus
Contract Duration: Permanent, part time (10-hour day shifts, 7.30am to 6.30pm with one hour for lunch, 4 on 8 off, averaging 23.33 hours per week)
General posts are ideal for any RVN interested in developing their nursing careers within a state of the art referral hospital. We will provide training across all services by working within a team of specialist clinicians and RVNs here at the Hospital for Small Animals.
You will be involved in a range of interesting and inspiring cases in surgery, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, exotics, wildlife, and 1st opinion, you will be assisting with advanced diagnostics (including on site CT/MRI/endoscopy/ultrasonography/radiography), and you will be gaining essential skills as you move through all disciplines.
Our hospital is getting busier and as such, we have created these new posts to ensure our patients have additional support 365 days a year. You will be part of a rolling rota, 4 ten-hour shifts on, 8 off. As three people share this role, you will also provide holiday cover for each other; this could mean working 6 shifts in a row (overtime paid).
Experience working in a busy practice or within an out of hours service as a qualified RVN would be advantageous.
This post is grading as an UE04/UE05 depending on experience and attracts an annual salary of £19,305 - £21,585 (UE04) or £22,214 - £25,728 (UE05) pro rata for 23.33 hours each week.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss these posts further, please contact veterinary nurse manager.
