Company

Roebuck Veterinary Group is committed to being a professional, caring and trustworthy practice.

  • For our patients, we will provide an exceptional standard of care, treating them all with dignity and respect.
  • For our clients, we recognise that our success depends on the highest level of client care. Good communication at all levels, good case continuity, and value for money are essential for this.
  • For our staff, we will ensure a friendly, relaxed and open working environment, where we are all safe and fulfilled.

Roebuck Veterinary Group was founded in the 1960s to serve the pet owners of Stevenage. On 15th December 2008 we opened a new purpose built Veterinary Hospital in Great Ashby. We are committed to ensuring that both surgeries provide a personal caring service for their clients.

As well as a trained and enthusiastic team of people, we also invest heavily in the latest technology to allow us to offer the best clinical service that we can.  Both centres have fully computerised records that are linked to allow full access to your pet’s clinical history wherever they are seen.

We are fully involved with a number of local animal charities. Through our work for Wildlife Welfare we care for a large number of wildlife species each year, and assist with the work of Cats Protection and other rehoming groups.

As a practice we are fully committed to the continuing development of staff. Both centres are registered with the RCVS as Training Practices for student nurses, and some of our qualified nurses are undergoing further diploma studies. Our veterinary surgeons regularly attend courses in order to keep abreast with all the latest advances in veterinary medicine and thereby ensure that your pet receives the best possible treatment.

We have our own 24 hour Emergency Service so that if your pet requires urgent treatment outside normal hours, it will be seen by one of our own staff at our Great Ashby Veterinary Hospital.
