Junior Veterinary Surgeon - Swadlincote, Derbyshire

As a new, dynamic and rapidly expanding independent small animal practice we are looking for a Junior FULL TIME veterinary surgeon.

Bright Side Vets is a new breed of veterinary practice offering high standards of small animal (and client) care; the only Practice Standards Scheme accredited practice in South Derbyshire. Open 6 days (with out of hours contracted out) we are a friendly, supportive and caring team.

Our head vet, Kelly, oversees a team of three vets offering a range of clinical procedures in a fully equipped practice that includes digital x-ray, ultrasonography, in-house lab, dental equipment and endoscopes. We see a broad variety of pets, including some exotics and undertake a wide range of surgeries including orthopaedics and laparoscopic procedures. In our team we have two certificate holders and an Advanced Practioner (small animal surgery).

The experienced team, including a 2016 Nottingham graduate and 3 RVNs are on hand to provide ample support, allowing a new team member to improve their skills and develop confidence quickly.

As a Junior Vet you will probably be a new graduate looking for your first position out of university. You would receive the support, guidance and coaching from Kelly to help your development as a vet. This includes regular 121 mentoring, participating in clinical meetings and time to complete your PDP. As well as this we are also participating in the Grads to Vets graduate scheme.
