The Practice
We are an expanding, independent, multidisciplinary referral centre on the South Coast, delivering a high level, affordable service to clients and referring vets.

Currently we offer referrals in ophthalmology, internal medicine and surgery and have specialists in each discipline as well as a newly appointed anaesthesia specialist. We have 6 consult rooms, two dedicated theatres and procedure rooms and separate dog and cat wards.

The Role
This is a rotating internship programme which is part of the practice expansion plans. 3 interns will be given the opportunity to complete a one-year internship with staggered start and finish times.

It is a fully structured programme with rotation between departments and roles and defined outcomes for each discipline have been outlined. These are available on request.

You will be fully supported to complete a major academic role such as authorship on a peer-reviewed paper or presentation at a national/international conference.

Duties will include: providing a referral service including weekend and emergency duties, take part in surgical training sessions, attend and present at journal clubs, provide training for nurses and deliver CPD lectures on behalf of the practice.

The programme is designed to equip you for the on-going career you wish to pursue whether it be a residency or another opportunity.
