Permanent Full Time Farm Veterinary Surgeon - Pembrokeshire - New/Recent Graduates Considered

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a farm animal vet to join our clients in beautiful Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

This full time position benefits from an excellent holiday package, well funded CPD, group membership of BVA and BCVA and RCVS and OCQV fees paid pay the practice.

The farm animal branch is in the very heart of Pembrokeshire, surrounded by the stunning scenery of the National Park, rated by National Geographic Traveler magazine as one of the top 2 coastal destinations in the world, this is a great place to live, work and play!

The practice is predominantly a cattle one with a good proportion of dairy work, allowing plenty of regular fertility visits, LDA surgery and general production medicine, as well as Caesarean sections kindly supplied by the beef clientele.

They share a 1:6 weeknight and a 1:5 weekend rota and benefits from a half day of in lieu of a night on call or a full day off for a weekend.

This a highly supportive and experienced team of vets and lay staff providing a fantastic environment for a recently qualified farm animal veterinary surgeon to develop their talents and build a reputation for themselves with our friendly farm clients. We do minimal equine work, with a choice of great horse practices on our doorstep. Our full time TB tester does the majority of the TB testing, enabling the clinical team to focus on health and production, with a light amount of the remaining tests. A vehicle is provided for work and commuting with a company fuel card and we can help to find suitable accommodation if necessary
