Veterinary Surgeon - Galashiels, Innerleithen & Selkirk

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in the beautiful Scottish Borders.

The Practice

Border Vets was established in 2009 by vets Carla Murphy and Melanie Broad.  The Scottish Borders is a beautiful area to live and work in.  It is the premier venue for mountain biking in the UK, plus many arts, music and historical festivals, and is within one hour of Edinburgh by road or rail.
Border Vets is a progressive, forward-looking small animal practice, recently passing their latest RCVS PSS Inspection and retaining their GP status, and have also passed the Cat Friendly Silver Award, and Compassion Understood Platinum Award. Border is also a Vet Nurse Training Practice.
Border has steadily grown in size and expertise, and now has six full and part-time vets, three qualified nurses, four SVN and 4 SQP. The main premises at Galashiels is supported by two branches at Innerleithen and Selkirk.
The practice has benefited from continuous investment in new equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometry, capnography as standard for monitoring GA, blood pressure monitoring.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team.  A recent graduate with at least 1 year of experience is desired, capable of routine surgeries, and an interest in dentistry would be a benefit.

Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will work full time over 4 days, and share the 1 in 4 night and weekend rota.
