Cormac Higgins is looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join his friendly and established team based in Ashford, Kent.

Ashford is an excellent location for vets looking for easy access into both Central London (direct trains in just over 30 minutes) and to the Kent coastline and fabulous countryside of the Kent Downs Way (less than 10 minutes away). The town is also home to Ashford International Station with trains to France in under an hour.

Cormac qualified from University College Dublin and spent the first two years of his veterinary career in Ireland before moving to the UK. You will be joining a forward-thinking and cohesive team made up of 4 vets, 5 RVNs, 2 student nurses and 5 receptionists. The team hold a variety of individual interests with Cormac holding the GP Certificate in Endoscopy and other members working towards their feline, surgical and ultrasound certificates.

The practice also benefits from visiting specialists in surgery, cardiology and ultrasound ensuring a wide variety of in house cases! The recently refurbished practice has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound and full endoscopy & laparoscopy kit.

Cormac and the team are looking for a friendly and approachable vet experienced in all routine surgical and medical cases. A special interest in surgical cases would be welcomed and the opportunity to gain further qualifications would be supported.

The team have built incredibly strong relationships with their patients and clients therefore the ability to provide exceptional customer service as well as clinical excellence is essential. You will be joining a fun and supportive team who genuinely enjoy working together with their most recent outing being an overnight stay in the lion section of London Zoo to celebrate the practice’s 10th birthday!

This is a full time position with a weekend rota of 1.5 in 4 and no OOHs.
