Portland Vets started 14 years ago in East Grinstead. The founders still run the Portland Vets East Grinstead. In 2013 a branch surgery in Edenbridge was opened in joint ownership with another vet. Our new Horley surgery is also a joint ownership practice. It is extremely well located, with substantial off road parking and space to expand.
It is a completely new purpose built surgery with the intention to open in September. Equipment will include Idexx Lab, X-ray and Dental X-ray, dental equipment, separate cat and dog wards, underfloor heating and air-conditioning throughout. At our hospital we have vet interns living on site overseeing at night the in-patients. We have an orthopaedic vet attached to Portland Vets, and have considerable in-house skills in Ultrasonography, Laparoscopic surgery, etc.
Located on the A23 town centre roundabout in the north side of Horley, near where the new 1600 houses are being built.

Potentially a candidate could also work part-time for Portland vets and live on site, whilst locuming for other practices in the area, moving to a full-time role in Portland vets as the practice grows.
