Full-time Veterinary Surgeon - Abergavenny
Full-time vet required to help 3-vet practice expand and grow. 40 hours a week, with regular days off in the week. Lovely market town in beautiful Brecon Beacons. Easy access to M4 and M5. Experience preferred, as occasional sole charge required, but could provide support to developing recent graduate. OOH shared with neighbouring practice, rota approx. 1 in 8. Flat available to rent. Great team atmosphere with strong focus on customer care.

Full-time (40 hours per week) veterinary surgeon, some experience preferred but not essential. To work within our team to provide a great first opinion service to clients of all income brackets. All vets consult and operate every day. Case continuity encouraged. Some out-of-hours work – around 1 in 8 on-call, and some in-patient care. OOH is shared with neighbouring practice. Some weekend work on a rota ( 2 x 24-hr shifts in a 9 week period)
My ideal candidate would have excellent communication skills, be compassionate, honest and take pride in doing a good job well. They should relish the challenge of helping us to achieve excellent standards in all areas and building up a good reputation. They should be clinically sound and able to deliver all aspects of general practice to a high level.
A generous pension, of 6.5% of salary, starting after 3 months employment.
5 days and £1,500 CPD allowance.
RCVS, VDS and BSAVA/other organisation subscriptions paid.
£50 annually towards any non-veterinary self-improvement activity.
Staff can purchase goods from our wholesaler at cost price for their own animals.
40p per mile paid for attending emergency calls, CPD courses, in-patient checks.
