The Practice
We are a unique small animal charity that offers discounted vet care for all the pets in the family irrespective of number in the home. Small friendly team of experienced Nurses and Vets with excellent working conditions and equipment. Large car park with grounds and exciting plans passed for new build Rehab Unit incorporating hydrotherapy pool and treadmill. You would be working in a much sought after area with all the work/life benefits that Cornwall can provide. Excellent recently built operating theatre suite and laboratory. The Role
We are seeking a Vet confident in routine surgery, preferably with an interest in orthopedics, sometimes having sole charge responsibilities. There would be no out of hours working. You would be consulting & operating within prescribed rota hours Mon - Sat with 1 Saturday morning being worked in 3. You would need good inter personal skills as we are a very busy practice dealing with a wide cross section of the public.

Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate would be an experienced Vet who is a good team player and possess excellent communication skills. They would need to be flexible in their approach to problem solving but remain committed to our charity ethos which is that the pets needs come first. They would need to work confidently and be able to sometimes take sole charge responsibilities. They would need to work effectively with the Lead Vet and our team of experienced nurses and ancillary staff to keep improving our levels of customer service and satisfaction levels. Though not essential it would be an advantage if the person appointed had some experience or real interest in orthopedic surgery.

The Package
The Charity operates a pension scheme recently set up under the auto enrollment procedures. We pay up to £1000 per annum for up to 3 CPD's. RCVS and VDS fees are paid by the Charity for all Vets & Nurses. We have a large car park (26 spaces) for staff & clients. No OOH working.
