From our centre of excellence in Suffolk, we are achieving amazing things and leading the way in treating animals and tackling disease. We are dedicated to providing the highest standards of patient care, and have an active programme of clinical research and post-graduate training.

The surgery team works closely with our specialists from other disciplines, including anaesthesia, critical care, oncology, orthopaedics, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, neurology, ophthalmology, and internal medicine. On site we have the following facilities, CT, fluoroscopy, 1.5T MRI, linear accelerator and diagnostic services with pathology and clinical pathology laboratories on site.

We currently have a vacancy for a senior clinician/clinician to join our Small Animal Surgery Department. The successful candidates will be either boarded (ECVS/ACVS/RCVS) or board eligible and can specialise in either soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics or a combination of both disciplines, depending on personal preference. You will join a team of four other surgeons and one surgical nurse. You will benefit from an excellent work to life balance with a generous off clinics allowance. Whilst on clinics, your primary responsibility will be the delivery of a first class surgical service, using our state-of-the-art theatre suites, supported by our dedicated theatre staff. An extensive range of surgical equipment is available, including minimally invasive/interventional radiological instrumentation and the Biomedtrix THR kit. We also provide an emergency out-of-hours service as part of the team. Candidates interested in research are able to develop and/or lead research projects during off-clinics time and extensive collaborations with other institutions/disciplines are already in place and encouraged.

Starting salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications. We also include an excellent pension scheme, 27 days annual leave plus Banks Holidays, employee health plan worth over £750p.a, employee assistance scheme, generous CPD allowance and time off for clinical research.
