We are also proud of the happy and friendly work environment that we are able to provide and the excellent work-life balance that we have achieved for our staff - we understand the importance of family life! We strongly believe in continuity of care and how important this is to both the vet in charge of the case and also to our clients. Supportive and dynamic colleagues with experience in medicine, surgery and ultrasound are always on hand to discuss cases and give advice if needed.
We are able to offer autonomy and self determination for our staff and welcome any ideas and suggestions on new ways to do things. We have a fantastic and capable nursing team, which includes 3 qualified and experienced RVNs who work alongside our vets. The practice premises is single site and modern and up to date (with air conditioning!) We have digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, therapeutic laser and a fully equipped in house IDEXX laboratory.
We are looking for a veterinary surgeon (both full or part-time considered as the right person is more important than hours) to join our friendly and supportive team and help us to continue to provide an excellent standard of veterinary care to our patients and their owners.
We encourange continuity with cases and vets are supported in working up their cases diligently, using the up-to-date equipment that we have at the practice, in conjunction with support and advice from experienced colleagues when needed. Emergency cover is provided by VetsNow and we are able to offer hours and a rota that allows you to have a life outside work.
The role involves both consulting and operating and will give the right candidate the opportunity to further pursue any special interests that they may either have, or develop, with CPD being actively encouraged and supported.
We are looking for someone who is an excellent clinician and who will provide an excellent standard of veterinary care to our patients. They would be highly skilled, both surgically and diagnostically, work their cases up diligently and be keen to develop themselves and progress their skills further. They must also have excellent communication skills and be a team player who will work well within our friendly, close-knit team and promote the ethos of our practice.
The ideal candidate would have some experience in small animal practice - though we will not rule out anyone and so welcome all applications. Someone with less experience, but who is more dynamic and who demonstrates the personal qualities that would enhance our practice, would be considered.
We are offering an excellent salary package which will depend upon the experience of the successful candidate and whether they will be working full or part time. It will include company pension scheme, RCVS fees, VDS cover and generous CPD allowance.
