Job Details
The Opportunity:
Recently refurbished and looking exceptional, the practice is located in the town centre close to all amenities and only 1.5 miles from Nottingham city centre. It is the main practice in the area with smaller branches at Netherfield and Arnold which are consult only. Facilities include ultrasound/digital X-ray/ECG and as well as our in-house services you’ll also get access to everything available across the entire Medivet group, which include MRI and CT. The team currently has four vets, one currently taking a certificate in medicine. The support team of three nurses, a student nurse, three patient care assistants and two client care assistants is lead by an experienced head nurse with a certificate in animal behaviour and is an accredited kennel club trainer.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week over 4 days with 1:3 half weekends (morning at the Hucknall practice and afternoon at Sherwood doing consult only) Part-time applications are welcome and we're open to being flexible where we can so let us know what works for you.

- Role Accountabilities:
In this role you will: - Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
- Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
- Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
- Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
- Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
- Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
- Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.
- Your Skills and Experience:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
- Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
- Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
- Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
- Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
- Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
- Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
