About Us

We are an independent, privately-owned family business with two locations – Ashton On Mersey and Urmston. Established nearly 50 years ago, we are a first opinion practice for small animals. Our large existing and loyal client base keeps us constantly busy. We have several experienced vets who can help develop younger talent, along with excellent nursing and admin staff, including three vet nurses with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Our excellent location offers strong motorway and rail networks, proximity to Manchester Airport, and is just 10 minutes from Manchester City Centre and 5 minutes from the Trafford Centre. The Lakes, Peak District, North Wales coast, and Blackpool are all within easy reach.

The Role

Join our busy and thriving veterinary practice. We have vastly experienced staff across all aspects of the business and are looking for someone to make a positive impact in both consultations and surgery. Experienced staff are always on hand to help develop your skills if required. There is no out-of-hours work, no late nights, and no weekend shifts to cover.

Successful Candidate

You will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and RCVS registered, ideally with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. However, we have experienced staff to help develop less experienced applicants. You should ideally be confident and capable in both consults and surgery, work well as part of a team, and have a good work ethic. Good interpersonal skills and a focus on the animal’s wellbeing when treating and diagnosing are essential.
