Robson & Prescott Veterinary Surgeons are a group of practices located in and near Northumberland. You will be located at our Morpeth Whorral Bank branch which is our main hospital and is a base for all Vets with rotation round our branch sites for small animal work only. The practice is located on the outskirts of Morpeth which is a busy market down with great shops, bars and restaurants. We are connected to Newcastle via bus and train on the east coast mainline making York and Edinburgh an hour away. The practice is located 15 minutes form the beautiful beaches of Northumberland and 20 minutes from so amazing walking and mountain biking areas.

We have a large, supportive and compassionate team of 28 Vets, 25 Nurses as well as a fantastic support and administrative team. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Behaviour, Cardiology and Exotics.

We are a large mixed practice with 28 Vets covering many disciplines including a large Small Animal department, Equine, Farm and Exotics as well as OV work. We have all the usual toys for all departments including ultrasound, endoscopy, dental x-ray, radiography suite, hydrotherapy suite and separate wards for cats, dogs, small mammals and exotics. The Equine department benefits from stocks and examination room, 4 stables as well as ultrasound, DR, endoscopy and a gastroscope. Our Farm department has all fertility equipment as well as the ability to hospitalise patients if required. The practice provides it own OOHs and is a nurse training practice with nursing support 24/7.

Step into a supportive start

40 hours per week working a 4.5 day week with a contribution to the OOH rota.

Our graduate will be assigned a VET GDP Advisor and will benefit from working as part of a busy experienced team. All staff are happy advising and supporting new graduates on surgery, consults and helping upskill in x-ray, ultrasound etc.

Company vehicle provided.

Caseload split of 70:30 Small Animal/Farm.
