Are you a vet looking for a supportive environment where you can learn and develop your skills, with flexible working options? Paying up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE) with a relocation package available *
About us:
With more than 440 small animal practices across the country, of all shapes and sizes, Vets for Pets is one of the largest UK veterinary groups and offers Veterinary Surgeons a range of opportunities, including the opportunity to run your own practice. However, what really makes vets for pets a unique opportunity is that it is run locally, providing our local teams the time and opportunity to support their local community. This means you to join a team that can support your individual needs while offering you a bespoke introduction to the practice, local community and caring for our patients!
We are a small and close-knit team and since opening 9 years ago have built a loyal client base. Many members of our team have been with us a number of years creating a fantastic comradery and an ethos in which we support each other.
Our bright and spacious practice is based just a short commute from Glasgow city while the beautiful southern highlands are also within short travelling distance making this a great location for city dwellers and nature lovers alike. Another benefit is we have excellent transport links to Glasgow airport for people looking to go away on their weekend off!
The Role:
We would love to find an experienced vet who is happy to mentor students and graduates as we like to provide a supportive learning environment to students coming from the vet school. However, we know that everyone is at different stages in their veterinary career so if you are also a more recent graduate please do still get in touch, and we can discuss options with you!
This can be a full time or part time position, and we are open to a flexible rota that can work around your commitments. We do ask for you to cover 1 in 3 Saturdays, but no OOH cover will be needed as this is covered by Glasgow university. We are currently open Monday to Saturday having reduced this from a full week to help look after our team.
Our offer:
In addition to a salary up to £65,000 (DOE, pro rata) you will receive all the excellent benefits you would expect from a major veterinary employer. This includes but is not limited to:
If you would like to hear more about working with us please contact Rach on Rachael.bury@vets4pets.com and we will get back to you within 1 working day
Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
- This is an excellent opportunity for a vet looking to join a nurturing environment where certificates can be supported
- Full and part time can be considered with 1.3 Saturdays
- No Sundays or OOH
- * There is a relocation package available for direct candidates only
- Close knit supportive team with a low turn over
