Kingsway Veterinary Group is a group of veterinary practices located across Skipton, Cross Hills, Silsden, Craven & Ilkley. You will be primarily based at our hospital site in Skipton however, we have a small consulting branch where the graduate may work from time to time. We’re based in the lovely market town of Skipton which has been consistently voted to be one of the happiest places to live in the UK. Skipton offers a fantastic selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants, excellent schools and inclusive clubs for all ages and interests from sports to music. We even have a 900-year-old castle! We also have to mention that we’re surrounded by the stunning Yorkshire Dales with its famous rock climbing spots, cycle routes and many picturesque walks.

We have a fantastic, supportive team of 7 Vets, 15 RVN's, 1 SVN as well as a great support and administrative team. We have an in-house laboratory, ECG, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, rigid and flexible endoscopy, new state of the art ultrasound, 24-hour on-site nursing care and so much more.

Step into a supportive start

A typical full-time role would involve working 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days dependent on shift patterns. Our out-of-hours rota consists of working 1 week in 6 on-call between the hours of 5 pm and 8.30 am. When working on call in the evening you are not required on the day shift rota. You are required to work 1 weekend in 6 on-call.

You will be supported by our very experienced Veterinary team who hold certificates in Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Soft Tissue Surgery and Diagnostic Imaging.

Our team of fully qualified, experienced vets and nurses are dedicated in providing the very best of up-to-date care in a professional and compassionate manner, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This means you will see a familiar face most of the time.

We are able to draw on many years of experience and use modern, state of the art equipment and facilities to ensure that your pet can receive the very best of care. Several of our vets have gained further qualifications in their field of interest which has allowed us to provide a referral service to local practices for orthopaedics, spinal, soft tissue surgery and cardiology.

We also recognise the importance of preventative health care and regularly run free nurse health clinics such as diabetes, senior health checks, weight checks, rabbit clinics and dental awareness campaigns. The nurses also give free friendly advice about your pet's healthcare to try and ensure that he or she can lead a long healthy and happy life.

About Kingsway Vets Our main surgery is at Skipton which has just had a full refurbishment in February 2012. We also have two branch surgeries, all of which are easily accessible. Cross Hills surgery which can be used for neutering clinics and minor procedures and Silsden is used for consulting only.
