At Prenton Vets4Pets we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our lovely team. The practice team is looking for a full time vet to work alongside an established team of 4 Vets, 3 RVN’s, 1 SVN and non-clinical team of 5. We are a well-established small animal practice, which has been purpose built to market leading standards. To enhance our practice further it is very well equipped with state-of-the-art toys including Digital x-ray and processor, colour Doppler ultrasound, diathermy and ultrasonic dental descaler with air drill. Giving you all the equipment, you need to provide the best care for our patients.

Prenton itself is a small suburb in the Wirral Peninsula of England that falls under the jurisdiction of Birkenhead, Merseyside, it’s also part of Cheshire County. Prenton is a very sort after and attractive place to settle down, it boasts great schools, affordable homes that are close to the city centre with excellent transport systems.

Prenton also benefits from being close to Liverpool which is a diverse metropolis with all the characteristics of any major European City with it’s cosmopolitan culture and good local amenities, while retaining the benefits of its relatively smaller size. Only 15 mins from the city centre will take you to Crosby Beach, where you’ll find Anthony Gormley’s iron sculptures dotted across the sand. The cost of living is very attractive, especially for those keen to step on the property ladder, as residents enjoy a standard of living that would ordinarily require a typically larger salary.

To maintain your work life balance and enjoy everything this part of the UK has to offer we can offer you a rota to work within a 1 in 4 weekend rota with no OOH. Prenton, is a well organised, popular first opinion practice with a large following and a varied and interesting caseload. As an experienced vet with a growth mind-set, the capability to work sole charge, completing both consults and surgeries daily so all your skills can be fully utilised. Perhaps you would like to complete a certificate, have specific CPD in mind we would certainly encourage you to progress with your ambitions. We offer a competitive between £45,000 and £60,000 (DOE) and a generous benefits package that you would expect from a major veterinary employer. We welcome overseas vets and provide fully funded visa sponsorship or a generous relocation package* to help you settle into your new home in the Northwest. In addition to this we can offer you a sign on bonus* on joining us and a further payment on passing your probationary period.
