Our well-established practice Blackpool Squires Gate is on the lookout for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to provide both clinical and non-clinical support. You'll be pivotal in guiding our dedicated team of vets, helping us reach new heights in veterinary excellence.

About us:
  • We are a highly-supportive, diverse and inclusive team of 2 vets, 4 RVN’s, 2 SVN’s & 3 VCA’s. Our Front-of-House team consists of 3.5 FTE and we pride ourselves on bespoke employments that bring the best of our people who in turn bring the best out of our clients and their pets wherever possible. The practice is located on a fantastic retail park with many shops, cafés and eateries to choose from and we are very close to the beach and a short distance from the motorway. Manchester and Liverpool airport are both commutable in less than hour’s drive and we also have a comprehensive transport system for non-drivers (trams, trains, buses and taxis).
  • Fully air-conditioned surgery: RCVS accredited and purpose-built to industry-leading standards. Plus a proactive and friendly nursing team always willing to help.
  • Separate dog, cat, and exotic wards: Ensuring the comfort and care of all our patients.
  • In-house advanced practitioner dermatology service*
  • State-of-the-art facilities:
  • 3 consulting rooms
  • Large treatment room area
  • Digital x-ray and dental x-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Imagyst cytology and capnography
  • Peripatetic orthopaedic service provided by our sister practice

*Our practice has recently diversified its service offering by employing one of only 37 UK advanced practitioners in small animal dermatology. Our senior veterinary surgeon supports our orthopaedic caseload. Other areas of interest supported by our internal team include diagnostic imaging and internal medicine. If you have a curiosity for any of these disciplines, we would be happy to support your development in these areas.
