Company
The Lawton and Stoakes Veterinary Practice was established in 1985 by Dr Martin Lawton and Dr Lynne Stoakes, both of whom have previously worked at practices in Essex.
The practice premises were converted from a rundown butchers and have been extended over the years to cope with expansion, a process which is still ongoing. Major refurbishment to extend the practice has just been completed, combining the three buildings of 8, 10 and 12 Fitzilian Avenue. This has given us a totally new, increased waiting room (with disabled toilet facilities) for the greater comfort of our Clients.
The Practice strives to offer the highest of medical care for all pet animals including Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rabbits, Reptiles and all Exotic Animals. We have a reputation of providing a very high standard of Veterinary Medicine, dealing thoroughly and to the best of our ability with all conditions. We regularly receive referrals from other UK Veterinary Practices, particularly for Exotic animals and Ophthalmic cases.
We are a training Centre for Veterinary Nurses and we are committed to the education of medical and nursing staff. The nurses are the backbone of the practice. They make sure that all the in-patients are maintained, looked after and medicated as has been prescribed by the veterinarians. They are responsible for assisting the veterinarians during anaesthetics, surgery and during consultation ho
