Here at Straid Vets, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our established and supportive team. There will be a mix of consulting and operating, we try to make sure all vets have equal time in theatre. We encourage innovation and initiative so if you have a keen interest, we are keen to try and make it happen! We are a small practice and would like to offer more services.

Let us support the next step in your career

If you are looking to pursue a certificate, we can support you in achieving that. Are you unhappy with the amount of surgery you are getting in your current role? We can help and discuss a workload that works for you. Are your current rota patterns not working for you? We can discuss hours that suit you and your life and see if we can make it work.

We will endeavour to support your interests and even join you on your journey whatever your career goal may be. We are a welcoming team that has our people at the heart of what we do, maintaining important, long-term friendships.

Rota patterns that work for you

Our people are at the heart of everything that we do, that’s why we know that work-life balance is vital in supporting our people to be their best selves. Our flexible approach to rota patterns and working hours offers a balance that truly flexes with you and your lifestyle no matter what stage you are in your career.

We are open to flexible working across 4 or 5 days. The weekend rota is usually 1 in 4 working Saturday 8am - 12:30pm and weekends can be swapped if needed. There are no out of hours.
