About Us
We are a growing independent mixed practice that is looking to expand our team of 13 vets. We are situated in a lovely part of Wales with the sea, mountains and beautiful countryside all around us.
The Role
We can accommodate vets wanting to do mixed, large or small work. The workload is increasing in all sectors and would allow a new graduate the exposure in each field, but also provide a great opportunity for someone with more experience to further their career in any area of interest. Part time working will also be considered as we understand that life exists outside of the Practice
Client care is important to us and therefore we do our own OOH. There are 2 vets on call so there is always backup.
CPD is paid for and encouraged. We have 3 certificate holders on staff, with another 3 currently studying. We enrol new graduates on the RCVS Vet GP program and have 2 qualified mentors.
We also cover your membership for BVA, VDS, RCVS and one other veterinary society of your choice.

Company
Ystwyth Veterinary Practice has its origins in the years immediately following the First World War. It was originally sited on Gray's Inn Road in the centre of Aberystwyth town but has moved on at least three occasions. We have been at our present site since 1986.
Today, we attract talented vets and nurses who tend, like many who come to the area to study or work, not to want to leave.
We feel privileged to live and work in such a fine landscape, shaped equally by its history and its farming community. We proudly take our place as custodians of animal health and welfare here in the heart of the beautiful West Wales hills.
