Salary up to £75,000 DOE, Welcome bonus up to £10,000 pro rata, Relocation allowance up to £8,000 pro rata
We are looking for a Large Animal vet to join our team at Seafield Vets in Aberdeenshire to work in a 4 FTE Farm and Equine Role within a busy Mixed practice.
We continue to evolve our proactive service provision with our farm and equine clients, and we would look to our new vet to drive this forward. We are fortunate to have an excellent farm client base with a number of driven pedigree and commercial beef and sheep clients.
Experience of working with proactive clients and staff management experience would be preferred but training can be provided whilst working alongside the Regional Head of Farm (Previous CD at Seafield) and Area Director.
Rota
Working up to 40 hours per week on a full-time basis however we can consider full/part time candidates as well as discuss flexible working hours.
At this stage it would be anticipated that the new Vet would contribute to the OOH Rota but equally would play a key role in continuing to evolve that to ensure the best working conditions for the team. The current OOH rota is on a 1:5 basis.
About the team
Seafield Veterinary Group is more than just a workplace; it's a dynamic family of 15 vets, including approximately 10 FTE vets. The Large Animal team comprises about 4 FTE vets, with extra hands needed during the bustling Spring and Autumn seasons.

You'll be working with clients who are passionate about producing some of the finest livestock in the UK, and they won't settle for anything less than exceptional care.
But it's not just about clinical excellence. We want you to lead our proactive service revolution, forging stronger connections with our farm and equine clients. You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of veterinary care and push the boundaries of what's possible.

Company
The practice became Seafield Veterinary Group in 1982, having been renamed from R. S. Cowie and Partners which was founded in 1930’s. We are a very busy mixed animal practice covering roughly a 30 mile radius from the main surgery in Keith. We have an enthusiastic team of vets and support staff covering our three surgeries in Keith, Buckie and Banff. We pride ourselves in providing a 24 hour cover for all animals.
In 2018, Bellevue Veterinary Centre joined Seafield Veterinary Group and became our Banff Surgery. Our Banff Surgery is a small friendly practice, accredited by the RCVS and with experience in treating small animals as well as large animals.
