Join a practice going through an exciting refurb and growth paying up to £75,000
“We are a diverse team and cater to different passions, with the space and facilities to really nurture our teams’ talents.” Karina (BVetMed MRCVS) Practice Owner, Kidderminster Companion Care
About us:
Having recently taken on the ownership of Kidderminster Companion Care, Karina is now looking for a passionate veterinary surgeon to join our growing team.
The team has been in the practice for a long time and all have progressed within their own veterinary careers whilst at the practice. Both our head nurse and senior RVN starting with us as locums before becoming permanent, whilst Gemma our Practice Manager first joined us 9 years ago as a VCA.
Karina herself is testament to the investment she puts into her teams’ progression and development. Initially qualifying as a nursing assistant in 2006, Karina has since gone on to retrain as a vet, qualifying from the Royal Veterinary College in 2017 and having since gained valuable leadership experience as a Clinical Director, before taking on the ownership of Kidderminster Companion Care in 2023.
Both Karina and Gemma are trained Mental Health First Aiders and along with the clinical team, are supported by a brilliant client care team as well as a pharmacy assistant, hygiene technician and 2 VCAs.
About the role:
We have a great relationship with the in-store Pets at Home team and have an incredible client base with a varied and growing case load including small furries, exotics and dentistry. We’re therefore ideally looking for a full-time colleague who has a surgical bias
We’re a diverse team so depending on your own individual style, our consult times vary and breaks, and an hour lunch break are always included in the day. It’s important to us that our team feels included so we also hold a regular catch up after morning consults, with time to share thoughts and ideas.
There are no OOH with this role and we make sure that appointments finish half an hour before closing so that we have time to catch up and still get away on time!
As well as working with our great team, we’re also offering the following benefits:
We are also ideally located with great amenities right on our doorstep, plentiful parking, excellent public transport links and within walking distance to the local train station, as well as just a short journey from major roads networks.

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
