At Alder, you'll find a highly skilled and experienced nursing team, as well as a dedicated night team for overnight care. Our facility boasts onsite CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and in-house labs, all conveniently situated near the vibrant offerings of Liverpool. Additionally, we have a new Branch Partner and a Certificate Holder set to join the team soon, further enhancing opportunities for your development and learning.

The role is full time; working 39 hours a week over 4 days offering progression alongside a work/life balance. The weekends roster is 1:3 Saturdays or 1:6 Saturday and Sundays.

At Alder we have:

  • 3 to 5 vets on rota daily, with guidance and support where needed
  • Separate cat and dog wards
  • A highly skilled and experienced nursing team
  • Dedicated night team to see your cases through the night on site
  • Onsite CT, ultrasound, endoscopy, and all the expected in house labs
  • Located close to some of the best of what Liverpool has to off
  • Alder has been newly refurbished to a high standard and equipped with state of the art diagnostic equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and a recently installed CT scanner.

Role Accountabilities:

In this role you will:

  • Deliver exceptional clinical care to your patients during consultations and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional care to your clients, giving clear updates on patients.
  • Deliver professional excellence, observing the highest standards of regulatory, practice and operational compliance.
  • Prepare tailored, accurate treatment and care plans for each patient with clear cost estimates.
  • Engage, mentor and develop your team, enhancing their skills and utilising these in the most effective way.
  • Complete clinical handover and arrange transfer of any patient needing out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice within and across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experienced in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to demonstrate clinical leadership skills.
  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture.
  • Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
