Salary up to £69,000 DOE plus Relocation Allowance up to £2,000 and a welcome bonus of £2000

We are looking for an experienced Vet to join our friendly, passionate team at Paxton Vets!

Your day-to-day duties will involve a mix of consulting and operating, offering a diverse caseload beyond just routine ops and vaccinations. We are keen for all our Vets to work up cases as thoroughly as possible allowing you clinical freedom and autonomy. You will have the support of an experienced team of Vets and RVNs to help with this.

Shift patterns that work for you

Our full-time rota entails 40 hours over five days with 1:6 Saturdays and no OOH. However, we know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and we want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. We would welcome both full or part-time applicants and we are happy to discuss working patterns for part time team members.

More about us

We have two clinics on either side of Crystal Palace in South London with excellent transport links. Both sites offer the same great level of equipment and standard of care and have been established for over 50 years making us a real part of the community. The clinics have digital X-rays, dental X-rays, ultrasounds, endoscopy, and multiparameter monitors, in in-house IDEXX lab machines that perform haematology, biochemistry, electrolytes, sedivue urinalysis. We also have a Tonopen, ECG, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximetry and basic orthopaedic kit. Our patients come first, and we always strive to provide clinic excellence with a personal touch.

We have a team of 7 Vets with a wide range of interests, 5 Veterinary Nurses, 9 supporting team members. We all work together with compassion and empathy to provide consistently high standards of care for our clients and their pets (we have certificate holders in feline medicine). Communication is key and it drives our practice therefore we are always keen to share knowledge across the team and value everyone's contribution.
