An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Cherry Tree Vets!

We are looking for a full time/part time veterinary surgeon to join three other highly experienced vets at a small village practice. The role would be over 4 days a week with a share of a 1:4 weekend rota (Saturdays only 8:30am -4pm) with no out of hours or bank holidays. We encourage and support flexible working wherever we can and are in a fortunate position that we could offer lots of support for a new/recent graduate.

About Us

Cherry Tree Veterinary Practice is a small, village practice located in picturesque Lane End, near High Wycombe. We have been established over 10 years and we are extremely fortunate to have strong relationships with all of our lovely clients and their pets. We have all the usual equipment including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound and internal laboratory and our vets enjoy working up their cases to a very high standard.

About the Team and Culture

We currently have 3 veterinary surgeons that all have over 10 years’ experience in small animal practice and 4 veterinary nurses. One of our vets is a surgery certificate holder and another vet is working towards her own surgery certificate. Where we can, we like to support local village events - including judging of the local dog show most recently! The ideal candidate will be keen to develop strong relationships and continuity with clients and their pets whilst providing high level of patient care. This role could fully support a new/recent graduate with excellent communication skills

Applicant Requirements

At Cherry Tree we believe in taking a personal approach to your pets healthcare and so we always encourage that you see the same vet wherever possible. We believe this continuity helps us provide a better standard of care for you and your pet.

In order to provide the highest standard of veterinary treatment and advice we also only offer 15 minute appointments so that you never feel rushed. We are open 7 days a weekfor both routine and emergency appointments as we understand that life can be hectic and sometimes pets don’t always appreciate that it is a Sunday!

We are lucky enough to be able to offer aspecialist surgery service from our dedicated, modern surgical theatre. This enables us to perform specialist orthopaedic and soft tissue operations on site, meaning less travelling and stress for you and your pet.

Here at Cherry Tree we are able to provide all aspects of healthcare for your pet- from routine vaccinations and neutering to life saving operations. We also run specific clinics for elderly or overweight pets, as we understand the importance of ongoing care for these patients.

We have invested in an ultra modern, fully digital Xray system to help us diagnose and treat even subtle problems. We also have the latest in-house laboratory equipment so many tests can be run ‘same day’, meaning a better, faster service for poorly pets.

All of our qualified staff regularly undergo further professional training and development to ensure the best, most up to date knowledge and service for your pet.
