The Role You’ll Play

Myerscough Veterinary Group is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. Whether you're a recent graduate or an experienced practitioner, this role offers a unique opportunity to work in our main hospital with one day per week spent at a consulting branch.

Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including routine and non-routine procedures, inpatient care, and consulting. With a full-time working week of 4 days and a set day off, we also welcome part-time applicants. Our structured working hours provide stability, allowing you to plan your life outside of work. Weekend commitments are limited to Saturdays only, from 8am to 3.30pm, with no out-of-hours work required as we collaborate closely with VetsNow.

Get to Know Us

Situated in the picturesque Ribble Valley, our Clayton Le Dale branch is a Tier 3 PSS Inspected hospital and nurse training practice. Boasting 4 consulting rooms and multiple operating theatres equipped with cutting-edge technology, including CT, endoscopy, laparoscopy, digital x-ray, ultrasound scanner and dental radiography, we are committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our team includes five certificate holders in medicine, surgery, anaesthesia, and ongoing professional development is encouraged and supported. At Myerscough Veterinary Group, we prioritise work-life balance, ensuring that working hours are adhered to, and staff are not contacted during their time off. Consultations finish before your scheduled finish time, allowing ample time for administrative tasks and client communication.

About Our Talented Team

Our team comprises 17 veterinary surgeons across 10 sites, supported by a dedicated team of RVNs, SVNs, ACAs, and client care advisors. With a strong emphasis on continuous learning and development, several of our team members hold certificates in various specialties, including ECC and dentistry. We pride ourselves on our ability to manage complex cases in-house, ranging from critical care to orthopaedics and laparoscopy. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with experienced certificate holders, providing the highest level of care to our patients.

What You’ll Bring

We welcome applications from MRCVS holders, including recent graduates and experienced veterinarians. While current and valid OV status would be advantageous, it is not essential. Join us at Myerscough Veterinary Group and be part of a supportive team dedicated to excellence in veterinary care.
