Veterinary Surgeon (Full-time or Part time)
St George’s Vets, Halesowen
Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience

Here at St George’s Vets, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Halesowen.

This role can be full-time or part-time and either solely located in our Halesowen GP practice or combined with days working at our Wolverhampton hospital site.
A typical working day would consist of 15-minute consultations with a qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse on hand at all times. There would also be up to 3 hours of routine surgery a day – neutering, lump removals, and dentals if desired.

We care about your work/life balance

We offer flexible working patterns that flex work to fit in with you and your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life. We can offer flexibility that actually works for you.
The typical working hours would be from 9am to 7pm across 4 days of the week, with a 1 in 3 Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. There are no out-of-hours with this role.

About us

Our Halesowen practice is well located, just 10 minutes from M5, Junction 3. Easily accessible from all areas of the Wolverhampton, Dudley, Birmingham and Kidderminster areas. Birmingham Airport is just a 40-minute drive away. We have an operating theatre, Idexx lab, Ultrasound and dental x-ray. We are also a training practice for Student Veterinary Nurses. Our hospital is fully equipped with a CT scanner, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, Idexx lab, digital microscope, endoscope, laparoscopic kit, etc.

Working at the hospital would enable you to undertake more detailed medical work and surgery alongside our team of Certificate Holders/Advanced Practitioners. This allows you to also book your own cases in for your hospital day to work up with support and greater access to equipment.

Our team

Our team has many AVP/certificate holders who are happy to offer plenty of help, support and discussion for clinical development and activity. Certificate study is supported and development/progression to senior roles is possible.
