Lead Vet opportunity at Cinque Ports Vets across Kent & East Sussex!

Just another job advert... Just another practice looking for a Lead Vet... Just the same old promises... But we aren’t the same and we are not looking for JUST a Vet!

Did we mention our amazing refurbishment including a second theatre, dedicated dentistry room and new client care area.

Cinque Ports is not just another vet practice, we are a group of practices that has a role to fit every vet. Whether in our busy hospital as a surgeon or in one of our branch practices where everyone knows your name and you know your clients on a first name basis, we are a practice that is proud of what we do and who we are. We are ok with change and embrace it as a team!

The Lead Veterinary Surgeon role is key to the team's success. You will be leading and working alongside a full clinical team of vets, nurses, and receptionists across all practices, aiming to provide the highest standards of care while, maximising convenience, reducing customer effort and bond clients to the Practice.

The Lead Veterinary Surgeon is responsible for managing the clinical activities of the Vets and acts as the first line of management, developing the team to optimise uptake of clinical services.

In the Lead Veterinary Surgeon role, you will work closely with and support the Clinical Director to provide leadership, coordination, appropriate training, and development to the team. You will also need to take part in the day-to-day organisation of the team, responding to requests for unplanned absence cover.

When you're not deputising, you'll undertake duties of a vet. A surgical certificate would be desirable, however, not essential. We encourage and support certificate study if desired.
