Job Details

If you are an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a warm and friendly team then we would love to hear from you here at Loughborough!

We have a full-time vacancy but are also happy to consider flexible working and/or reduced hours for those considering a return to the profession but are unable to meet the full time demands of veterinary work. The job comes with a fantastic benefits package and a competitive salary.

We are looking for an ambitious Nurse, with great personal skills and drive for excellence, to join our successful Practice and become part of our friendly, fun-loving & passionate team.

About you and the role:
The ideal Nurse to join us will be proactive and enthusiastic, with solid all round skills. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the veterinary nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team player and enjoy the variety the role will bring. By joining us you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care.

Our benefits include:
• £26,000 - £33,000 pro rata dependent on experience.
• One in 4 weekend rota (Saturdays 9-12). No out of hours.
• Enhanced annual leave of 6.6 weeks including bank holidays
• Contributory pension scheme and life assurance 4 x annual salary
• Opportunities to develop your practice and nursing skills, and pay increases based on performance and contributions to the Practice
• Opportunities to develop our nurse clinic offer to our clients
• Dedicated PD allowance and up to 3 days of paid CPD.
• Paid memberships including RCVS and VDS
• Exclusive company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room and Vet Group
• Regular and funded social activities for team development (and fun!)

Our stand-alone Practice is situated on the outskirts of the university town of Loughborough in a busy residential area with on-site parking; great motorway and train links to Nottingham, Leicester, the Peak District, Birmingham & London and being centrally located, the rest of the UK.

We can offer a friendly, inclusive work environment, and are happy to support individuals’ areas of special interest. You will be joining a bubbly, hard-working team who are dedicated to providing outstanding pet healthcare and fantastic, caring customer service.

We are an equal opportunities employer.

Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!

Company

Locally owned practices with a world of support

At Vets for Pets we’re a network of practices that are owned and managed by the practice owners that run them. Because they’re locally owned, each practice has the freedom to serve patients and clients the way it thinks is best.

But crucially, being locally-owned also means enjoying a truly team-spirited atmosphere. We want all our colleagues to build lasting relationships with practice owners and team members as well as patients and clients.

And because we’re also part of a wider group, you’ll get all the support you need when you need it. That means state-of-the-art facilities, high quality CPD, financial stability and a real sense of job security.

With our framework, we’ve made it simpler and easier for you to help patients and clients live happier, healthier lives together. It’s about making the most of your expertise and bringing this to life in practise while being safe in the knowledge that you’re looked after too. Simply put, we offer locally owned practices with a world of support.

Flexibility & Wellbeing
You tell us which hours you want to work, and we’ll do everything we can to make it happen. With us, you could enjoy a better work-life balance where flexibility and wellbeing come first.

Training & Development
We offer great training programmes, plus fully funded CPD, leadership courses and access to our group’s learning curriculum. We’ll also support you if you’re interested in owning a practice. With our wealth of resources, it’s easy to build your skills and develop your career.

Local Practices
With us, no two practices are the same. We’re deeply rooted in our local communities and we want you to really get to know your patients and clients locally.

Being part of the Pets At Home Group
Being part of Vets for Pets means you’ll be part of our network of locally owned practices. Our practices are located across the country and are owned and run by our Joint Venture Partners (JVPs). Our Joint Venture Partnership model is unique and gives everyone the best of both worlds. Working within one of our practices you’ll get to work with the JVP who has the clinical freedom and autonomy to do things their own way.

As we’re part of a large respected organisation you’ll also enjoy the benefits of being part of a wider PLC Group. This means we can give you greater stability and job security during these uncertain times and beyond.

What’s more, we’ve worked hard to make sure everyone in our group can take part in a fun, friendly, professional and inclusive culture that allows you to bring your whole self to work and be at your very best.
