Job Details

We are seeking a friendly, dynamic Veterinary Surgeon to work in our Tyldesley clinic. This role will be suitable for a vet wishing to develop their surgical skills further whilst working alongside an experienced advanced practitioner.

The ideal candidate will have a client-orientated approach and excellent communication skills are a must. This role will be working alongside our other experienced vets.

Salary and hours

This role works to a 4 day week with either 1:3 Saturday's or 1:6 full weekends    

Salary & Benefits

Salary up to £55,000 dependent on experience 

Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500

£1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave

VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You will be competent in clinical examination. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively, building trusting relationships with your colleagues, harnessing our one team culture.

Branch:

Tyldesley is a very large practice (previously a bank) and has recently undergone a refurbishment, modernising the front of house client experience including a large waiting room and spacious consults. The clinic has separate dog and cat wards, separate orthopaedic/laparoscopic theatre and is well-equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in house blood machines, laparoscopic and endoscopic equipment.

Tyldesley is a 3 vet practice, supported by Head Nurse, 2 RVN's, 2 SVN's, PCA and full time receptionists. Our Practice Manager is very experienced providing great support for the team including the vets. 

The practice is an RCVS accredited practice under the Practice Standards Scheme.
