Veterinary Surgeon
Dragon Vets, Prestbury Park
Up to £75,000 depending on experience,
Plus up to £5,000 relocation support

Sadly, one of our Vets is retiring to the South of France which means that we have an exciting position open within the practice. We are seeking an experienced vet to join our growing practice in Cheltenham.

Within this role, it offers a unique mix of consulting and surgery. We're on the lookout for individuals who have experience of both medicine and surgery, bringing a wealth of clinical expertise. As a valued member of our supportive team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care and providing solutions and shaping the future of our practice.

Rota patterns that work for you

We understand that life is diverse, and so are your needs. That's why we're excited to offer flexible working hours. You decide what works best for you, whether it was condensed hours or a set working pattern, we want to make it easier to balance your job with the rest of your life. We believe in creating a positive environment where you can do your best work while enjoying the things that matter most to you.

Our typical hours would include working 40 hours over 4 days of the week, with one Saturday morning worked per month. However, there aren’t any out of hours requirements with this role.

A bit about us

Cheltenham is a town known for its thriving bar, restaurant, and festival scene. London is also just over 2 hours away, whilst Birmingham is only an hours’ drive. We are a well equipped air conditioned practice with full surgical facilities, laparoscopy, on-site laboratory, DR, referral-level Doppler ultrasonography, video endoscopy and CT scanner.

A team to excel with

We are a supportive team of 20 vets, 18 nurses and 20 support staff across our practices. We have a number of certificate holders and Advanced Practitioners in medicine, surgery and cardiology. Several of our vets are undertaking certificates in other areas such as ophthalmology, ECC and dentistry. We would especially love to hear from those who are experienced in first opinion practice with a desire to develop their skills and offer best-practice standards of care.

Because our employees matter

We recognise that our people are fundamental to the success of our business. Investing in our people, premises and processes is at the heart of what we do. In addition to a competitive base salary, you will benefit from -
