Our modern, small animal veterinary practice is well-equipped with the latest technology, including dental radiography, (we perform 2-stage dentistry as standard), digital x-ray, and referral level ultrasound equipment with cardiac and abdominal probes, endoscopy, bronchoscopy plus rhinoscopy equipment for those with a medical interest. We have a TTA kit and electro-cautery, plus a tonometer and slit lamp. We are happy to invest in more equipment for the right candidate.

Part-time hours may also be considered.

The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and welcoming team of Vets, Nurses and Receptionists, with the support of both the Practice Director and Clinical Director. We are an award winning veterinary practice set in the Pennine mill town of Shaw, near Oldham.

Our mission is to provide a caring, friendly and highly professional approach where people and pets are treated with respect and consideration, and where owners are given the time that they need during an appointment to explain concerns and be involved in a discussion about options for treatment.

We are passionate about good quality veterinary service and try to offer a full range of options to suit all expectations and budgets.  We will explain different possible investigations, the results, possible treatment options and their outcomes, and the costs as we go along and give you choice in the treatment of your pet.

The practice has been refurbished, is well equipped and offers a comprehensive range of pet healthcare clinics run by experienced veterinary nurses to help keep your pet as healthy as possible.

We have a practice cat called Doorman Dave who has been with us since we opened in 2004.  She turned up one day and literally pawed on the door to come in and has reigned over the reception area ever since.  In her younger days she used to escort owners and their pets to and from their cars, but nowadays she is often found asleep on the reception desk, watching the dogs in the waiting room, or waiting to go in/out/in/out of the reception door.
