We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Director to join us at Celyn Vet Group! The role would be across both our branches in Holywell and Prestatyn. You will oversee a mix of operations and consults, which are 15 minutes as standard but can be longer if required.

We are happy to accept both full/part-time applications, working 30-40 hours per week, covering a mixture of early and late shifts between the hours of 8 am and 12pm. We can be flexible with the number of working days, but you will be required to work 1:4 Saturday mornings, 8am-2pm (consult only) at our Holywell branch. There is no out of hour work.

Getting to know us 

Celyn Vet Group has two, well-established veterinary practices in Holywell and Prestatyn, in the beautiful area of North Wales. Our surgeries are close to the border and the A55, with links to Chester, Liverpool and Manchester nearby – for those who prefer the city environment. However, we are well located for those who enjoy the rural side of life, with plenty of countryside and hill walking areas.

We offer the highest standards of first opinion care to small animals, investing in our practice, patient care and our team is important to us. Therefore, we would be keen to support your expertise and incorporate any areas of interest into the services our practice already provides. Both of our surgeries are fully equipped with all the usual toys including; in-house blood and lab facilities for routine work, ultrasound and x-ray facilities.

The successful applicant will be joining our hardworking and valued team. We pull together and support each other when things get difficult and are more like a family than co-workers! Our friendly team is 17 strong and consists of; 1 Deputy Clinical Director, 4 Vets, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Senior Registered Veterinary Nurse, 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 1 Senior Receptionist, 4 Receptionists and 2 Animal Care Assistants.

Not only are we blessed to have such a great team, but we also have a fantastic and loyal client base. We see many returning clients over the years, meaning we get to care for our patients from puppies/kittens to their senior years! We are passionate about preventative healthcare and nutrition and mainly care for small animals and wildlife.

What we’re looking for in you 

Registered with MRCVS. We are looking for a confident vet, competent in all areas of first opinion small animal practice, who is keen to lead a fantastic team and implement new ideas. Our successful applicant will be an excellent communicator facilitating good working relationships throughout the team, with strong interpersonal skills, great communication and eagerness to drive improvements and growth in the 2 practices.
Management experience is desirable but not essential. Driving license essential.
